Click the + button at the bottom left of the screen on app.gitbook.com.

2. Name the Gitbook with the class name in this format: " \ \ \ ", \ i.e. Mr Heng S3 Tue 7-8:30PM 3. Continue following the steps below from point 3 onwards.

### For an existing class: 1. Create a new page by clicking on "New Page". Alternatively, while on Edit mode, hover your mouse over the existing page and click the blue + button.

2. Rename the page (refer to menu right below the name of the Gitbook). Rename it to the date of the lesson. i.e. 26 January 2023

3. For the page description, write this exact phrase: "Landing page for weekly lesson notes and homework". 4. For the first line of the Gitbook, indicate "Class Notes"/"Lesson Notes" depending on the content you are adding in. 5. a. For screenshots, copy (CTRL + C) and paste (CTRL + V) onto the Gitbook itself. From WhatsApp, right click the image and paste onto a new line in the Gitbook. Alternatively, if the image requires cropping (to crop only the worksheet and not the other apps on the computer screen as some screenshots are full screen), use the windows button WIN + SHIFT + S and use the cursor to crop. Then paste (CTRL + V) onto the Gitbook.\ \ b. For PDF files, open the PDF file and crop every page using the method previously mentioned above, do not upload the PDF file by itself.\ \ c. For audio files such as recordings, you need to download on your phone and upload to your own Google Drive, get the link and open the link on the admin computer so that you can download the m4a file. Then upload to the Gitbook. You cannot take directly from WhatsApp computer app because it is in an unrecognisable file format. 6. After the image has successfully loaded, you will see these buttons. Click on the third one to "Convert into block".

7. Towards the end of the Gitbook, add a new line and click the + button and select "Hint".

Follow this format: {% hint style="info" %} **Homework:**\ ... ... {% endhint %} 7. Once done, click Merge on the top right hand corner to submit changes. \ For a new class/Gitbook, click "Publish" and copy the link.

8. The settings should look like this:

Note: Click the button with 2 squares to copy the link and don't forget to send to the parents with the template (refer to MCS Daily Operations for the template). ^
